Spiritual Direction
There are questions that don't resolve neatly. Doubts that don't go away with the right book or the right practice. Transitions that ask more of you than you know how to give. If you're in that kind of territory, you don't need a program or a set of answers. You need somewhere to bring it.
That's what spiritual direction offers.
Spiritual direction is one of the oldest contemplative practices there is. And one of the most misunderstood. It isn't therapy. It isn't coaching. It isn't someone telling you what to believe or how to practice. It's the simple, profound act of having a thoughtful companion for your inner life. Someone who will sit with you in your questions without rushing you toward resolution.
I work from a non-patriarchal framework, which means I'm not interested in traditions that require you to override your body, diminish your identity, or defer to authority for its own sake. I draw from contemplative wisdom, but I hold it lightly and I'm always more interested in what's true for you than in any particular tradition.
What our sessions look like
We follow what's alive for you. That might be a decision you're sitting with, a practice that isn't working anymore, a grief you haven't had space to name, or a longing you can't quite articulate yet. I bring contemplative training, embodied presence, and genuine curiosity. You bring whatever is true for you right now.
Sessions are held via video call, once a month, and last about 50-60 minutes.
Offerings
Ongoing Spiritual Direction — $75/month For people who want a sustained, deepening relationship with their own inner life. We meet once a month and follow the thread of what's unfolding over time. No defined endpoint — this relationship continues as long as it's serving you.
Discernment Intensive — $220 for three months For people navigating a specific threshold. If you're sitting with a significant decision, transition, or rupture — leaving a religion, a career shift, a relationship crossroads — this container holds that particular journey. Includes three monthly sessions plus email support between sessions. Can transition into ongoing direction afterward if the relationship feels right.
Who this is for
I'm especially drawn to working with neurodivergent seekers, LGBTQ+ folks, and people who are leaving, have left, or are somewhere complicated with organized religion. If traditional spiritual spaces haven't felt like they were built for you, that's exactly the kind of experience I'm here to accompany.
Who this isn't for
I'm not the right fit for people looking for a structured program with defined outcomes, or those seeking direction within a specific orthodox tradition. I'm also not a therapist. If you're in crisis or need clinical support, I'll always encourage you toward the right care.
A note on capacity
I keep my client load small by intention. I'm currently accepting a limited number of new direction clients. If you're curious whether this might be a good fit, the best first step is a free 30-minute discovery call — no pressure, just a conversation.
